Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread

Game Day Snack on Steroids

This is the perfect game day snack!  LOVE this idea.

Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread

2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
4 Tbs butter
2 lbs pizza dough (I used 2 balls of Trader Joe’s fresh dough)
6 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (about 48 pieces)
48 slices pepperoni
2-3 cups marinara sauce for serving

In a small saucepan, heat garlic and butter over medium heat until garlic begins to brown. Remove from heat and allow to sit. Brush the inside of a bundt pan with the garlic butter.

Pull off large marble-sized balls of dough and flatten. Place a slice of pepperoni and a piece of cheese on each, folding the dough around the cheese and pepperoni and pinching well to seal.

Brush the pizza ball with the garlic butter and place in the prepared bundt pan. Continue until all dough has been used.

Cover and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400F and bake for 35 minutes, until top is browned. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Invert onto a platter and serve with warmed marinara sauce for dipping.

  1. Hi Blythe… I enjoy your blog. It first caught my eye when I read your comment about breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches being available here in CA. Being from Indiana, this was a staple when I was growing up. Where can I find them in the LA area? Secondly, I am confused by this recipe’s instructions that read “large marble-sized”. The marbles I have in mind are really pretty small, and certainly the amount of dough would not likely wrap around the pepperoni and cheese. (I might add that I am not a cook at all but find your recipes simple enough for me to tackle…thanks!)

    • Okay – I just found 2 places that have breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – one in Torrance and one in Laguna Beach.

I will definitely be checking them out!

Also, re the recipe. Make them more meatball size so the pepperoni and cheese can fit!
