Tea Bag Cookies

My daughter, Grace, disappeared into the kitchen and came out with these amazing cookies.

Tea Bag Cookies

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups cake flour, plus more if needed
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Semi sweet chocolate, melted for dipping

Cream the butter and the sugar together until pale, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.

In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients, then add to the butter and eggs.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Roll out dough and cut into shapes.

Bake for 8 to 12 minutes. Once cooled, dip in melted chocolate.
